Kristina Forney

Toddler Teacher

Kristina joined the CCNS community in 2024 as a work parent, served on the Board of Directors in 2025, and is thrilled to join the teaching staff as the Toddler Class Teacher. With a background in Early Childhood Education and Communicative Sciences and Disorders across general and special education settings, she has a strong foundation in supporting young children’s development. She is enthusiastic about supporting not only our youngest learners, but also their families. Kristina believes in creating an inclusive space where families are supported, seen, and embraced. Our toddler classroom isn’t just about the kids–it’s about community.

Kristina has a genuine passion for working with toddlers and for creating a nurturing, play-based environment where children can explore, connect, and grow. As a current CCNS parent, she understands and values the heart of our school: community, collaboration, and learning through play. In the Toddler Class, families can expect days filled with music, movement, laughter, and joyful discovery. Kristina believes that toddlers learn best through meaningful relationships and hands-on experiences. She is excited to create a warm, welcoming environment where toddlers feel safe to explore, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Born and raised in California, Kristina now lives in Sunnyvale with her husband and two daughters (born in 2012 and 2022). As a family, they love spending time outdoors and heading to Lake Tahoe whenever they can to explore trails, kayak on the lake, and enjoy nature together. These adventures fuel Kristina’s passion for curiosity, connection, and learning through exploration–values she embraces in her classroom every day. She is excited to share her love of play and exploration with the children and families of CCNS!
