3.5/4/5 Program

4 Days per Week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)

12:15PM-3:30PM

1 teacher, 1 aide, 24 students, and 6 working parents  (1:3 adult:child ratio)

Open to children with birthdays between September 2, 2018 and March 1, 2020


A typical day's schedule includes:

  • A personal greeting
  • Greeting Time to discuss the day's plans
  • Small group directed lesson for only 12 students designed to include pre-reading, pre-math, pre- kindergarten skills
  • Large group story time at the day's end
  • Snack time in small groups
  • Many opportunities for the child to choose outdoor or indoor activities related to cooking, crafts, science, gardening, pets  (Chickens and guinea pigs)
  • Movement exploration and fine & large motor development challenges daily
  • Each child is honored as "Star of the Week" once during the year 

Family Involvement

Cupertino Co-op offers parents the excitement of sharing the preschool experience with their children and making lifelong friendships through volunteering.  By working in the school under the guidance of credentialed teachers, the parents are able to nurture their relationship with their child.

Responsibilities

A parent, grandparent, or other important family member must:

  • Work at the school one half-day per week, under the direction of a credentialed teacher
  • Attend Monthly parent education gatherings 
  • Be available for 6 Emergency Days per school year
  • Contribute 15 Committee Hours per school year
  • Contribute 3 Special Project Hours per school year
  • Share in the maintenance and administration of the school, by working 2 Janitorial Weekends per school year.
  • Chaperone 4 Field trips per school year.

Affordable Tuition

Tuition can be paid in 9 installments, with the enrollment fee due when enrollment forms are turned in. Monthly installments begin in September. Scholarships are available.

Tuition

Tuition for the 2023-2024 4's program is $5,215 per year (paid in nine $535 monthly payments + enrollment fee of $400)
